Exchange Server Migration and Design for a FTSE 100 Global Company

A global oil facilities production company based in Aberdeen with offices around the world approached C7 Solutions with an aim to design and plan the implementation of their migration from Exchange Server 2003 to Exchange Server 2010 and Office 365. C7 Solutions provided an implementation plan and are currently working on the design guide for this companies requirements. This design will provide for high availabilty, multi data centre deployment using a model to facilitate this companies rapid growth. Currently at 25K users the Exchange Server design needs to cater for simplicity with regards to deployment (both onshore and offshore) and easy of scale for unknown future growth. The design work was based on a workshop run by Brian Reid (Microsoft Certified Master in Exchange Server) in the UAE for the global organization to ensure the company was aware of the features of the upgraded server product and implemented the feature set to best help them run their business rather than being concerned about how to keep email working, as they currently are with Exchange 2003.

Some of the quotes from the company about the workshop include:

‘best session ever provided’; ‘Brian was immense’; ‘all objectives met’; and from the CIO ‘Gives me confidence we will do migration to 2010 that have been waiting for’.
